Why you do not need another music licence
When you play music from Spotify, YouTube, or a personal collection in a business, you typically need a separate public performance licence. Melodial is different: we own or directly licence every track, so we grant you permission to play it commercially.
Your Melodial subscription is your licence. You do not need to pay PRS, PPL, APRA AMCOS, Buma/Stemra, or any other collecting society. One flat price covers everything.

Keep a copy on hand. If a licensing body contacts you, show them the certificate.
If a licensing body contacts you
Stay polite and present your Melodial Certificate of Compliance as proof. Your certificate only covers music played through Melodial: if your staff also play music from Spotify, YouTube, personal playlists, or the radio in your venue, you may still need a separate licence for that music.
If anything is unresolved, forward the correspondence to support@melodial.com and we will help.
