Melodial streams at 128kbps, which works out to roughly 60 MB per hour of continuous playback. Most business WiFi connections handle this without any issues. If you're using mobile data, an 8-hour day would use about 480 MB.
You can log in on as many devices as you like, but only one device can stream music at a time per account. If you need music playing in multiple areas of your venue simultaneously, get in touch and we'll set you up with additional accounts.
No. Every track in the Melodial catalogue is fully licensed for commercial use. Your subscription includes a Certificate of Compliance — no PRS, PPL, APRA, or any other public performance licence needed. Learn more about licensing.
If your connection drops, the app will automatically try to reconnect and resume playback. If you're in an area with unreliable WiFi, try using our radio streams — they tend to recover more smoothly than on-demand playback. You can also use your phone's mobile data as a backup.
Check your inbox (and spam/junk folder) for a welcome email from Melodial. If you still can't find it, email us at info@melodial.com and we'll resend your credentials straight away.
Yes. The Melodial app supports background playback on both iOS and Android. Lock your screen, switch apps — the music keeps going. You can also control playback from your lock screen or notification shade.
